The Anastasis desktop agent records billable time and captures screenshot evidence while you are working on an active engagement. You only need to install it once per computer.
Install the app
From the contractor portal, open the desktop-agent setup area for your active engagement.
Download Anastasis Desktop for your operating system.
Install the app, then open it. The first screen should say Connect this device.
Enter the Pairing code from the portal and keep the Device label clear, such as “Maya MacBook Pro” or “Office Windows PC”.
Click Connect device.
After pairing, run Refresh diagnostics and fix any permission warnings before starting tracked work.
Platform notes
- macOS: the first launch may require right-click Open until full signing and notarization are active. You must grant Screen Recording permission before tracking can start.
- Windows: early builds may show SmartScreen or untrusted-publisher prompts. Confirm you downloaded the app from Anastasis before continuing.
- Linux: screenshot capture depends on the desktop session. On Wayland, install
xdg-desktop-portaland accept the portal prompt. On X11, confirm your session allows screen capture.
What the app shows after setup
Once connected, the app shows Runtime status, Permission gate, Tracking controls, and Screenshot capture queue. It also shows the fixed screenshot cadence, offline queue count, last heartbeat, last sync, and revocation status.
