Profile & Video Resume

Best practices for completing your profile

Make your contractor profile easier to review by completing the right fields, proof items, assessments, and preferences.

Your profile is what clients review before they decide whether to interview you. A complete profile also improves matching because Anastasis can compare your skills, languages, schedule, equipment, assessments, and proof files against each role.

What to complete first

Open Edit profile from the contractor dashboard.
Finish Professional profile with your title, years of experience, skills, languages, bio, CV, and portfolio links.
Finish Work preferences with your hourly rate, weekly availability, schedule, and preferred categories.
Complete Equipment & remote setup so clients know your internet, machine, peripherals, and workspace are ready for remote work.
Finish Assessments and add your Video presentation before you submit. These are visible proof points in your candidate packet.

Make the profile specific

  • Use role language a client can recognize, such as Leasing Operator, Customer Operations Lead, or Bookkeeping Operator.
  • List tools by exact name: AppFolio, Buildium, Zendesk, QuickBooks, Notion, Slack.
  • Put your strongest three to five skills first.
  • Keep your hourly rate realistic for the roles you want. Clients compare your requested rate against the role’s posted range.
  • Add portfolio links only when they show real work. A weak link is worse than no link.

Why completion matters

The backend tracks your finished onboarding steps in completedSteps and updates your completionPercent and readinessStatus as you save. If your profile is only partly complete, the dashboard can keep Browse jobs limited and the Apply button disabled.

Before you submit, use Review & submit to read everything back. Fix missing proof, vague availability, or mismatched rates before Anastasis reviews the profile.
