Onboarding

Overview of the 10-step onboarding

The full onboarding flow — what each of the 10 steps covers, which are sensitive, and what unlocks role applications.

Anastasis onboarding is a 10-step wizard. You don’t have to finish it in one sitting — every step autosaves, and you can come back to /contractor/onboarding anytime to pick up where you left off.

The ten steps

Basic information — legal name, date of birth, address, time zone, emergency contact.
Professional profile — title, years of experience, skills, languages, bio, CV, portfolio links.
Work preferences — hourly rate, weekly availability, schedule, preferred role categories.
Payout method — connect your payout account. Anastasis sends approved earnings to it; the payout provider owns external bank withdrawals, cards, FX, and account management. See connecting your payout account.
Equipment & remote setup — internet connection, machine specs, peripherals, workspace photo.
Assessments — five short tests: skill, language, personality (DiSC), internet speed, PC specs.
References — two professional references; an optional recommendation letter.
Video presentation — a 60–90 second introduction. Clients filter applications by whether this exists.
Documents & compliance — government ID, proof of address, signed agreements, W-9 (US) or W-8 (non-US) tax form.
Review & submit — one-screen summary of everything above. Submit goes to Anastasis review; you can’t apply to roles until this is approved.

What unlocks at each stage

When you complete…You unlock
Step 1 (basics)A draft contractor account
Steps 1–3 + email verifiedBrowsing the job feed (read-only)
All 10 + Anastasis reviewApplying to roles
Step 6 assessmentsHigher compatibility scores on applications
Step 8 videoVisibility to clients who filter by video

The sensitive steps

Steps 4 (payouts), 7 (references), 8 (video), and 9 (documents) collect or generate sensitive data. They wait until the secure backend (auth, file storage, identity verification) is fully in place.

If you’re onboarding while those steps show as “coming soon” in your flow, you can complete steps 1–3 and 5–6 against the prototype — your data is autosaved and will carry forward when the secure backend lands.

Save and exit

Every step has a Save & exit button. Coming back picks up at the step you left. Your completion percentage and “readiness status” on the dashboard reflect how far you’ve gotten.

Submitting

Once all 10 steps are complete, the Review & submit screen lets you read everything back before sending it for Anastasis review. After review, you’ll get an email — verified contractors can apply to roles immediately. See how to apply for a role.
